“Region 8 Voices” Project
In 2023, Region 8 initiated the “Region 8 Voices” project, aimed at telling the story of our members. This project features 60 second videos, allowing a member to introduce themselves to others. The project was very successful so this year we are reviving the series.
Our members are what makes this union great. Region 8 Voices lends a voice that allows members to tell about their union experience. We have a number of videos that will be released over the next few months. If you would like to submit one of your own, email a 60 second or less video to UAW Region 8 Assistant Director George Palmer at GPalmer@uaw.net. This year we are using Director Smith’s “Who Are We” chant as a guide. When you record your own video, begin with “Who Am I”, tell your story and end with “Who Are We? UAW!”
